Tray and Sleeve
A tray and sleeve box has two separate pieces: a rigid tray that holds the product and a printed sleeve that wraps around it. Unlike a standard sleeve box where the sleeve slides lengthwise, a tray-and-sleeve configuration wraps the sleeve around the tray like a belt, covering the front, back, and both sides while leaving the top and bottom exposed. This format works for products where the top or bottom surface needs to be accessible without removing the packaging, like writing instruments in a presentation case or soap bars on a retail counter. The tight wrap keeps the tray secured during shipping without tape or adhesive. The sleeve provides a continuous four-panel branding surface. Standard materials include 300-450gsm SBS for the sleeve and 400-600gsm board for the tray. Cubit produces custom tray and sleeve boxes from 100 units.
