Mylar Bags
Mylar bags are flexible pouches built from BoPET (biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate) film laminated with a metallized aluminum layer. The combination blocks oxygen, moisture, UV light, and odors at levels standard polyethylene cannot match. A quality mylar laminate achieves an oxygen transmission rate below 0.01 cc per 100 square inches per day, compared to 150-200 cc for plain HDPE. That difference is why the cannabis, specialty coffee, supplement, and emergency food storage industries all converge on this format. Custom options include resealable zippers, tear notches, hang holes, clear windows, and child-resistant closures that meet state cannabis packaging laws. Thickness ranges from 3.5 mil for retail flower pouches to 7 mil for 25-year emergency food storage. The exterior accepts full-color digital or flexographic printing.
