Sleeve Boxes
A sleeve box is a two-part structure: a rigid inner tray holds the product, and a printed outer sleeve slides over it like a drawer. The sliding motion slows down the opening and creates a reveal effect that luxury brands in cosmetics, tech, and premium food rely on to match the product experience to the price point. The sleeve wraps all four sides in a continuous print surface; the inner tray can use a contrasting color, texture, or finish for a layered visual. Standard sleeves use 300-350gsm SBS paperboard. Premium versions go up to 600gsm or rigid chipboard (800-1200gsm) wrapped in specialty paper. Getting the friction right matters: too loose and the tray drops out, too tight and the customer fights it. Precision die-cutting keeps the slide smooth. Cubit produces custom sleeve boxes starting at 100 units.
