Straight Tuck End (STE)
A straight tuck end (STE) box has both top and bottom flaps tucking in the same direction, front-to-back. This creates a symmetrical structure where the dust flaps and tuck flaps mirror each other on both ends. The identical top and bottom make STEs faster to assemble than reverse tuck ends because there is no need to check flap orientation during packing. The trade-off is that both tuck flaps create a visible edge on the front panel, which means slightly less clean branding space compared to RTEs. STEs work best for lightweight products like cosmetics, confectionery, small electronics, and pharmaceutical items. Material options include SBS paperboard (300-400gsm), kraft, and coated recycled board. The symmetrical die allows nesting during cutting, which reduces material waste and lowers per-unit costs on large runs. Cubit produces custom straight tuck end boxes from 100 units.
