Top Closure
A top closure box is a folding carton where the entire top panel folds over and locks into place using a tuck flap, snap-lock tab, or adhesive seal. The defining feature is that the closure mechanism sits on the top of the box rather than the front, back, or side. This orientation keeps all four vertical panels uninterrupted for full-wrap branding. Top-closure boxes work best for products that load from above: cosmetics jars lowered into a tray, stacked cookies placed inside, or assembled gift sets arranged layer by layer. The top flap can include a slit-lock for tamper evidence, a magnetic closure for a premium unboxing feel, or a simple tuck for speed. Construction uses 300-450gsm SBS or white cardboard. The top-loading format also pairs well with automated case packing equipment that drops products vertically into open-top cartons. Cubit produces custom top closure boxes from 100 units.
