Double Wall Tuck Top
A double wall tuck top box uses two layers of paperboard laminated together to create walls roughly twice as thick as standard single-wall cartons. The tuck-top closure keeps the opening mechanism simple: lift the flap, access the product, tuck it back in. The double-wall construction handles heavier loads and resists crushing forces that would buckle single-wall boxes, making this the format for premium spirits, electronics, and luxury goods that need to survive retail handling and shipping without denting. Wall thickness typically runs 600-900gsm when two sheets of 300-450gsm board are laminated. The added rigidity also gives the box a premium hand-feel that single-wall alternatives cannot match at the same dimensions. The trade-off is higher material cost and slightly longer production lead times due to the lamination step. Cubit produces custom double wall tuck top boxes from 100 units.
