Side Lock Six Corner
A side lock six corner box adds a locking tab mechanism to the six-corner hexagonal structure. Where a regular six corner relies purely on material tension to hold its shape, the side lock version has interlocking tabs on one or more sides that click into die-cut slots during assembly. The tabs prevent the box from springing open under load or during rough handling, which makes this format better suited for heavier industrial components, machine parts, and stacked shipments. Assembly remains tool-free: the packer folds the box and pushes the tabs into their slots by hand. The hexagonal cross-section provides the same compression strength advantages as the regular six corner design while the side locks add security against vibration-induced opening during freight transport. Materials include corrugated E-flute, B-flute, and heavy kraft. Cubit produces custom side lock six corner boxes from 100 units.
