Tuck Snap Bottom
A tuck snap bottom box (also called a snap-lock or 1-2-3 bottom) has four base flaps that fold and interlock in sequence to form a rigid bottom without glue or tape. The interlocking mechanism holds significantly more weight than a standard tuck bottom, making this the go-to format for glass jars, candles, cosmetics, and small electronics. Assembly is manual: a trained packer folds about 5-8 boxes per minute, compared to 20+ per minute with a pre-glued auto bottom. That trade-off works for low-to-mid volume runs where the lower per-unit cost offsets the slower packing speed. The top uses a standard tuck closure (straight or reverse). No gluing step during production means faster manufacturing lead times and lower tooling costs. Produced in SBS paperboard, kraft, or corrugated E-flute at Cubit, starting at 100 units.
