Contract Packaging FAQ
What does a contract packaging company do?
A contract packaging company (co-packer) packages your product for you — filling, kitting, assembly, secondary packaging, and display building — so you don't need in-house packaging lines. Cubit combines contract packaging with in-house packaging manufacturing, so materials, printing, and packing run under one roof and one PO.
Do you offer co-packing services for food brands?
Yes. We support food and beverage brands with FDA-compliant, food-grade materials, GMP-aligned handling, and formats including stand-up pouches, mylar bags, folding cartons, and shelf-ready cases. Certification documentation is provided for retailer and compliance filings.
What is included in kitting and assembly services?
Multi-component kit building: inserting products, printed collateral, tissue, and protective inserts into mailer or rigid boxes; gift set and PR box assembly; subscription box kitting with variable contents per cycle; and sticker sealing, sleeving, and hand-finishing.
Can you produce club store and PDQ display packaging?
Yes. We manufacture and pack PDQ trays, counter displays, and floor displays to Costco, Sam's Club, Walmart, and Target specifications — litho-laminated corrugated, pre-packed with product, palletized retail-ready.
What MOQs and lead times apply to contract packaging?
Pilot programs start at just 100–500 units with 10–14 day standard production (3–5 day rush available). Ongoing co-pack programs run on scheduled cycles with dedicated capacity for 100,000+ unit enterprise volumes.
How is Cubit different from a traditional co-packer?
Traditional co-packers only pack — you source packaging separately. Cubit manufactures the packaging (500+ box, bag, pouch, and label formats) and handles the co-pack, removing a vendor from your supply chain. Structural design, dielines, and 3D mockups are free, and quotes arrive within 4 hours.
